Accident Report

San Antonio, TX — August 15, 2026, a pedestrian was injured in a car accident at about 1:30 a.m. on Interstate 10/Jose Lopez Freeway.

Authorities said a pedestrian was running in the northbound lanes near Wurzbach Road. An Audi sedan stopped short of hitting her, but it was struck from behind by a Toyota Corolla, forcing the Audi into the pedestrian on the left shoulder.

The pedestrian, a woman whose name has not been made public yet, was hospitalized with critical injuries after the collision, according to authorities.

Both drivers remained at the scene after the accident, authorities said. Neither is expected to face criminal charges as a result of the crash.
