Accident Report

Waxahachie, TX — May 9, 2026, one person was injured in a motorcycle accident at about 10:45 p.m. on the U.S. Highway 287 Bypass.

A preliminary accident report indicates that a westbound 2016 Toyota Corolla and a 2002 Honda motorcycle collided just east of the junction with Interstate 35. One of them allegedly swerved to avoid a passing vehicle.

The motorcyclist, a 32-year-old man, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report. His name has not been made public yet.

The Toyota driver, 28, was not injured, the report states.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Ellis County crash at this time.
