Accident Report
Pharr, TX — March 21, 2026, one person was injured in a motorcycle accident at about 10:20 p.m. in the 500 block of North Jackson Road/F.M. 3362.
A preliminary accident report indicates that a 2015 Kawasaki EX300 motorcycle was heading north when it collided with a 2002 Pontiac Firebird that was pulling out of a parking lot.
The motorcyclist, a 28-year-old man, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report. His name has not been made public yet.
The Pontiac driver was not injured, the report states.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Hidalgo County crash at this time.
How Did This Accident Occur?
A lot of people probably would blame the motorcyclist for this crash, simply because of the stereotype that paints them as reckless daredevils on two wheels. But what if this accident happened because the Pontiac driver did not notice the smaller vehicle as he was pulling out onto Jackson Road? Or what if one of these vehicles had a mechanical issue? Any of these scenarios could explain this crash, so it is important to wait until the investigation is complete before reaching any conclusions.
Investigators should be able ferret out information about this crash by gathering witness statements, physical evidence, data from the vehicles and any available video footage. Cell phone records could show what each person was doing at the time of the accident, but if authorities suspect a mechanical problem contributed to this crash it will likely take an outside expert to confirm.
Most law enforcement agencies do not have the time or training for such examinations, in my experience, but this investigation needs to yield answers for the injured motorcyclist and his family.
