Accident Report

Pasadena, TX — April 21, 2026, one person was injured in an alleged drunk driver accident at about 6:30 p.m. on the Pasadena Freeway frontage road.

A preliminary accident report indicates that a 2016 Ram 1500 was heading east when it crashed into a 2020 Ford Escape that was stopped at the intersection with Bearle Street.

The Ford driver, a 23-year-old woman, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report. Her name has not been made public yet.

The Ram driver, a 31-year-old man who was listed as possibly injured, was charged with driving while impaired, the report states.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Harris County crash at this time.

How Did This Accident Occur?

This crash appears to be relatively simple, but it still warrants a full investigation to determine if it unfolded the way it was described by the first officers on the scene. Investigators also should look into where the Ram driver had been drinking before the crash if blood tests confirm he was intoxicated.

Under Texas law, alcohol providers can be held responsible for injuries caused by a patron who was served while obviously intoxicated. I don’t know if that is what happened in this instance, but the injured Ford driver and her family deserve to know everyone who may have played a role in this accident.
