A 19-year-old woman riding as a passenger was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report.
The rider, a 32-year-old man, was charged with intoxication assault after the crash, the report states. He suffered minor injuries.

How Did This Accident Occur?
In instances like this, the injured woman and her family deserve an investigation that goes beyond the scene of the accident, to where the motorcyclist allegedly has been drinking before the crash.
If the man, who is charged with intoxication assault, was served at a bar or restaurant while obviously intoxicated before this crash, that establishment could be held responsible along with him for the injuries he caused, but proving that means an investigation beyond the scope of what is usually performed by most law enforcement agencies in Texas.
Those families may need to seek an independent investigation to determine who should be held accountable for this crash.
