Accident Report

San Antonio, TX — June 20, 2026, one person was injured in an alleged drunk driver accident at about 1:30 a.m. on North State Highway Loop 1604.

Authorities said a Ford Bronco allegedly ran a red light and crashed with a vehicle going west on Bandera Road.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 29-year-old woman, was hospitalized with unspecified injuries after the crash, according to authorities. Her name has not been made public yet.

The Ford driver was arrested on suspicion of intoxication manslaughter, authorities said.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Bexar County crash at this time.

How Did This Accident Occur?

I expect authorities to investigate this crash like any other one, but it warrants some extra digging if blood tests confirm the Ford driver was intoxicated. Someone should figure out where he had been drinking before the accident.

That matters because under Texas law alcohol providers can share responsibility for injuries caused by drunk drivers if it is shown that they served a patrol who was obviously intoxicated before getting behind the wheel.

Right now, we don’t know if that is what happened in this instance, but the injured woman and her family deserve to know everyone who may have played a role in this accident.
