Accident Report
San Antonio, TX — May 24, 2026, one person was injured in an alleged drunk driver accident at about 2:45 a.m. in the 2100 block of Culebra Road.
Authorities said a Ram pickup allegedly ran a red light at the intersection with Bandera Road and crashed into an eastbound vehicle.
One of the two people in the other vehicle was hospitalized with serious injuries after the crash, according to authorities.
The pickup driver, who was located nearby, was arrested and charged with intoxication assault, authorities said.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Bexar County crash at this time.
How Did This Accident Occur?
Police likely will work to reconstruct this accident by reviewing witness statements, physical evidence, data from the vehicles and any available video footage, but their investigation should continue beyond the scene to answer one more important question: where was the Ram driver drinking before the crash?
That matters because Texas law holds alcohol providers responsible for injuries caused by patrons who are served while obviously intoxicated. I’m not saying that is in play here, but it is worth investigating so the injured person and their family will know everyone who may have played a role in this crash.
