Accident Report

Hutchinson County, TX — July 3, 2026, a passenger was injured in a single-car accident just before 1 a.m. on an unnamed road near Lake Meredith.

A preliminary accident report indicates that a 1996 Chevrolet Corvette was heading west when it left the road leading to the boat ramp near Cedar Canyon Campground and overturned in a ditch.

A 24-year-old woman riding in the car was seriously injured in the crash west of Sanford, according to the report.

The driver, a 19-year-old woman, was not hurt, the report states.
