How Did This Accident Occur?

Details about this crash are sparse right now, making it hard to know how these two vehicles came together. That is why I always urge people to wait for an investigation to be completed. Facts, not assumptions, are needed in the aftermath of an injury accident.

At this time, we won’t know if one of the vehicles involved in this crash ran a red light, collided with other one while making a turn or rear-ended the other as the light changed. That matters, because each of those scenarios changes who is responsible for this crash.

I’ve been part of enough crash investigations in my career to know there is no substitute for a thorough investigation, based on witness accounts, evidence from the scene and data from the vehicles. In this crash, the bus may have been equipped with cameras that may shed some light on how this crash unfolded.
