How Did This Accident Occur?

It’s not clear at this point what caused this crash. Did the Nissan turn when it wasn’t safe? Was the Kia speeding? Did one of these vehicles have a problem with its brakes or steering mechanism? These are the type of things that authorities must consider as they investigate this crash.

That means scrutinizing vehicle data, physical evidence, witness statements and any available video footage to reconstruct this accident. Cell phone records could show what each driver was doing at the time, but a qualified expert should examine the vehicles if investigators suspect a mechanical issue contributed to this crash.

Few law enforcement agencies have the time or training for such inspections, in my experience, but the Nissan driver and his family deserve to know as much as possible about what caused this accident.
