Springfield, MO — May 31, 2026, one person was injured in a car accident at about 6:30 p.m. in the 5300 block of Southwood Road.
A preliminary accident report indicates a man tried to set the emergency brake after parking a 2017 GMC Terrain near the intersection with East Kemmling Lane, but the SUV rolled over him as he was exiting the vehicle.
The man, a 77-year-old Leroy, KS, resident, was seriously injured in the accident, according to the report. His name has not been made public yet.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Greene County accident at this time.
