How Did This Accident Occur?

When there is a single-car crash at this time of the morning, it’s natural to consider fatigue or impairment as possible causes. I expect police to look at those possibilities, but they shouldn’t stop there. Authorities also should look into whether the Ford had a mechanical problem that contributed to this crash, of if another vehicle forced it off the road.

Investigators must consider every possible scenario for this crash as they pore over evidence from the scene, witness statements, data from the vehicle and any available video footage of the accident, because those affected by this crash deserve to know everything possible about how it happened.
