Accident Report

Potter County, TX — July 5, 2026, one person was injured in a single-vehicle accident at about 2:15 a.m. on B Avenue near Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport.

A preliminary accident report indicates that a 2001 GMC Yukon was heading west when it crashed into a fence near the intersection with East Amarillo Boulevard/U.S. Highway 60.

The GMC driver, a 26-year-old man, was seriously injured in the crash just outside the city limits, according to the report. His name has not been made public yet.
