Matagorda County, TX — January 7, 2024, an Oklahoma man was injured following a car accident at around 3:00 a.m. along F.M. 1728.

Authorities said in preliminary statements on the crash that the accident happened at the intersection of F.M. 1728 and F.M. 1301.

According to officials, a 41-year-old man from Weatherford, Oklahoma, was in a GMC Sierra going northbound along F.M. 1728. At the intersection, the vehicle somehow continued off-road, going some distance until the pickup crashed into a tree.

Due to the collision, the Oklahoma man sustained serious injuries. It appears there were no others involved in the accident. Right now, additional details about the crash are unavailable.
