Accident Report
North Hills, NY — May 29, 2026, Nuridden Soliev was killed in a truck accident at about 11:40 a.m. on the Long Island Expressway/Interstate 495.
Authorities said a 2011 Mack semi-truck was heading west near exit 34 when it crashed into the back of a 2023 Honda Civic.
All three people in the Honda were hospitalized after the crash, according to authorities. The driver and one of the passengers suffered minor injuries, while the other passenger, 31-year-old Glendale resident Nuriddin Soliev, was admitted in critical condition. He died on June 1.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Nassau County crash at this time. The accident is still under investigation.

It is not clear at this point why the truck collided with the Honda Civic on the Long Island Expressway. Did the car stop suddenly? Was the truck driver distracted, perhaps by a cell phone?
