Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

My hope is authorities are giving this accident the attention it deserves. Pedestrian accidents tend to be treated as open-and-shut or as a low priority. This can lead to important details slipping through the cracks. Like any serious accident, there needs to be a full accounting of the facts. Even if something may seem unlikely, a proper investigation should get the facts and let the evidence speak for itself. If authorities are doing that here, good. But if getting a grieving family the answers they need will require more thorough independent investigations, it certainly wouldn’t be the first time.
