Montgomery County, TX — August 6, 2025, a woman was killed as the result of a motorcycle accident at around 11:30 p.m. along FM 1488.
Preliminary details about the accident say that it happened near the FM 1488 and Old Conroe Road intersection, northwest of The Woodlands and southwest of Conroe.
Investigators said that a woman, believed to be in her 50s, was on a motorcycle going eastbound on FM 1488. In events not entirely clear, the motorcycle crashed along the median, and the woman was thrown from the bike. As a result, the woman suffered injuries which proved to be fatal.
There has been no mention at this time of other vehicles being involved in the accident. No further information is available right now.

One of my main concerns with motorcycle wrecks is people tend to jump to conclusions. Even authorities can have a negative bias, and that makes it more challenging to be sure the victim’s loved ones are getting all the facts. Sometimes, authorities will be able to provide clear answers and show they’ve taken the investigations seriously. But I’ve worked with many families who felt the answers weren’t adding up, so they reasonably wanted another set of eyes looking things over.
It’s too early to tell if this is one of those situations, but it’s a good reason for folks to follow up with the authorities. That way, they can gauge if they feel like authorities are getting the full story or rather making hasty assumptions without considering the evidence.
