Accident Report

Boone County, KY — June 17, 2026, Nicholas Justice was killed in a truck accident at about 11:30 p.m. on Interstate 275/Donald H. Rolf Circle Freeway.

Authorities said a westbound UPS truck hit a man who had been standing in the road near mile marker 11 during a severe weather event. It is not clear at this time why he was in the road north of Idlewild.

The pedestrian, 45-year-old New Boston, OH resident Nicholas Justice, died while being transported to a nearby hospital, according to authorities.

No other injuries were reported.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Boone County crash. The accident is still under investigation.
