How Did This Accident Occur?

At this point, we don’t know what caused this SUV to drive off the road. Maybe the driver was distracted or fatigued. Maybe he swerved to avoid another vehicle. Maybe the Ford had an issue with its steering mechanism. The best way to get to the bottom of what caused this crash, in my experience, is to wait until the investigation is complete.

Authorities will work to reconstruct this crash by poring over physical evidence, witness statements, vehicle data and amy available video footage. Cell phone records could show what the driver was doing at the time.

If the official investigation does not answer all of the grieving family’s lingering questions about this crash, they may opt to have an outside expert take another look at the evidence.
