Hidalgo County, TX — June 11, 2024, Nerlin Gutierrez was injured following a car accident just before 5:15 p.m. along Interstate Highway 69C.
According to authorities, 55-year-old Nerlin Gutierrez was traveling in a southbound Kia Spectra on I.H. 69C when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a southbound Ford F-250 pickup truck made a lane change at an apparently unsafe time; this resulted in a collision between the front-end of the pickup truck and the rear-end of the Spectra.
Gutierrez suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
