Accident Report

New Braunfels, TX — August 2, 2026, Nathan Verde was killed and three other people were injured in a car accident at about 3 p.m. on State Highway Loop 337.

Authorities said an eastbound Chevrolet Corvette entered the westbound lanes and collided with a Dodge Ram and a Tesla Model 3 near the intersection with Oak Run Parkway.

Chevrolet driver Nathan Verde, 21, died from injuries the crash, according to authorities.

The Dodge driver and a 12-year-old passenger were hospitalized with serious injuries, authorities said. The child subsequently was flown to an Austin hospital for treatment.

The Telsa driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities, while a child passenger was not hurt.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Comal County crash at this time.
