Guernsey County, OH — June 29, 2023, Nathan Johnson and two others were killed as the result of a semi-truck accident at around 6:00 a.m. along I-70.
According to preliminary information provided by investigators, the incident happened near mile marker 179 with the collision occurring in eastbound lanes of the interstate.
Authorities said that Nathan Johnson was in a vehicle that was going eastbound along I-70. From westbound lanes, it appears a semi-truck lost control somehow, causing it to careen across the median. The truck entered eastbound lanes where it crashed with Johnson’s vehicle.
As a result of the collision, Johnson sustained fatal injuries. Two others were reportedly killed. Authorities have not yet identified those victims. There were no other injuries reported. Currently, it’s unclear if any charges or citations are being considered. The exact cause of the crash is still unclear at this time.
