Accident Report

August 30, 2026, Nadine Gregory was killed and two were injured in an alleged intoxicated driver accident at 9:00 p.m. on E. Orem Drive.

Preliminary details about the accident say that it happened in the area of East Orem Drive and Martindale Drive.

It appears that a Honda was going along the roadway at the time. A Jeep reportedly going at high speeds crashed into the Honda. Due to this, a woman from the Honda was apparently killed. Harris County officials identified the victim as Nadine Gregory. Two others from the Honda had injuries.

From the Jeep, authorities allege that the driver was intoxicated at the time. They didn’t say if drugs or alcohol contributed to the accident. Reports say authorities are considering charges for “reckless manslaughter.” Investigations are ongoing.

How Did This Accident Occur?

Authorities seem to think intoxication played a role here, though they didn’t specify the intoxicant. Believe it or not, this makes a big difference for victims and families affected by crashes like this. While investigations into drug-related crashes usually begin and end at the scene, alcohol-related crashes can extend behind the scenes.

For example, if investigations showed that an allegedly drunk driver had been unlawfully over-served by a bar or restaurant, that alcohol provider may also be in serious trouble. Contributing to a deadly crash by over-serving the person responsible opens establishments up to all kinds of potential consequences.
