Stamford, CT — March 5, 2024, three people were injured in a multi-vehicle truck accident at approximately 2:00 p.m. along I.H. 95.

According to authorities, the accident took place in the northbound lanes of Interstate Highway 95, the Connecticut Turnpike, in the vicinity of the Washington Boulevard exit.

The cause of the accident is still unclear. Officials indicate that several different vehicles were involved, including an 18-wheeler towing a trailer, a dump truck, and several passenger vehicles. The driver of the dump truck was reportedly entrapped in the wreckage and emergency personnel worked for over an hour to extricate him. Once freed from the aftermath, he was apparently taken to a local medical center by EMS for further evaluation and treatment of injuries of unknown severity. Two victims who had been in the passenger vehicles suffered suspected minor injuries as well.
