Guilford County, NC — February 5, 2024, one person was killed and several others were injured in a multi-vehicle truck accident just after 11:30 a.m. along U.S. 29.
According to authorities, a passenger vehicle was at a stop behind a work van on U.S. Highway 29 behind a work van at the Riverdale Drive intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a box truck collided with the back of the passenger vehicle. This collision pushed the passenger vehicle into the back of the work van, as well. It has been confirmed that one person lost their life as a result of the accident, though it is unclear, at this time, which vehicle they had been occupying at the time of the wreck. Victims from each of the three vehicles allegedly incurred injuries of unknown severity and were taken to local medical facilities in order to receive treatment.
