Wilmington, DE — February 28, 2024, four people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident at approximately 6:30 a.m. along Kirkwood Highway.
According to authorities, the accident occurred at the Limestone Road and Kirkwood Highway intersection.

The causal factors that led to the crash are still unclear. Reports indicate that three separate vehicles—a school bus, a work van, and an SUV—were involved in the wreck. The driver of the work van was apparently entrapped in their vehicle and had to be extricated upon the arrival of emergency personnel. Two men—both age 64—and two women—ages 36 and 34—reportedly incurred injuries of varying degrees of severity. All four were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
