Union County, GA — February 3, 2024, a motorcyclist was killed and a woman was injured in a truck accident at approximately 1:45 p.m. along S.H. 11.
According to authorities, a motorcycle bearing two people was traveling southbound on S.H. 11 in the vicinity of Spiva Bridge Road when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that a northbound 18-wheeler on the highway attempted a left turn at an unsafe time, resulting in a collision with the oncoming motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the crash. The woman who had also been riding the motorcycle sustained suspected severe injuries and was transported to a local medical facility in order to receive immediate treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
