Ector County, TX — October 26, 2024, a motorcyclist was injured in a car accident at approximately 1:00 a.m. along North County Road.
According to authorities, a 25-year-old man was traveling on a westbound Kawasaki motorcycle on a private driveway in the vicinity north of the North County Road and 33rd Street intersection when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the motorcycle entered N. County Road at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to roadway traffic from a private drive. This resulted in a collision between the front-end of the motorcycle and the front-write quarter of a Lincoln Continental that had been traveling northbound on N. County Road.
The motorcyclist suffered reportedly serious injuries as a result of the wreck; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identity of the victim—are not available at this point in time.
