Runnels County, TX — August 19, 2024, one person was injured following a single-vehicle dirt bike accident at approximately 12:00 midnight along County Road 167.
According to authorities, a 34-year-old man was riding a northbound dirt bike along a turn row in a field and attempting to make a turn onto C.R. 167 in the vicinity east of C.R. 177 when the accident took place.

The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the bike failed to maintain control on the loose gravel of the roadway. It reportedly lost traction before falling onto its left side.
