1 Injured in Motorcycle Accident on C.R. 2340 in Navarro County, TX

Navarro County, TX — November 4, 2023, one person was injured in a motorcycle accident just after 6:15 in the evening along County Road 2340.

According to reports, a 15-year-old boy was traveling on a southbound dirt bike approaching the C.R. 2360 intersection behind a southbound Nissan Van when the accident occurred.

For unknown reasons, the dirt bike passed the van in an allegedly unsafe manner. After passing, the dirt bike veered off of the roadway and onto the uneven shoulder. It then veered back onto the roadway where it fell onto its left side. The bike and its occupant were both run over by the Nissan, causing severe injury to the 15-year-old biker as a result. He was transported to a local medical facility by Emergency Medical Services for immediate treatment.

The cause of the accident has not yet been confirmed, though it is still under active investigation by local authorities.
