How Did This Accident Occur?

Any late night single-vehicle accident is going to bring up concerns for things like fatigue, unsafe speeds, and distracted driving. Of course, there could always be unusual possible factors to consider—vehicle defects, tire failure, road hazards, medical conditions, etc. My hope is that investigations are thorough and fair.

The latter can be a challenge sometimes with motorcyclists, considering how often authorities are quick to blame motorcyclists before having all the facts. I even had a case not long ago where we had to put together an independent investigation to clear a rider’s name after police wrongfully blamed them for a crash. Unfair bias can be overcome with clear evidence, which is why giving a crash like this careful attention as soon as possible is often a prudent course of action.
