Houston, TX — June 24, 2025, Morgan Thompson was injured as the result of a car accident at around 9:07 p.m. on US Highway 290.
Authorities said in preliminary details that the accident happened at Maxwell Road along northwest lanes of the highway.
Investigators said that 25-year-old Morgan Thompson was on a Kawasaki motorcycle going along US 290. A Nissan Altima was going the same direction when authorities say it may have made an unsafe lane change. As a result, the vehicles collided.
Morgan Thompson was seriously injured in the accident. No other injuries were reported. At this time, additional details are unconfirmed.

My hope is authorities here are being fair and thorough in their investigations. Even with the car here possibly making a negligent maneuver, a lot of people are biased against motorcyclists. Overcoming that requires a lot of clear, convincing evidence. I myself have had cases where it took independent investigations beyond just the police statements to prevent companies from shifting the blame.
Something I learned a long time ago is that having the facts on the victim’s side is a prudent way to make sure there’s a just conclusion for them. I don’t see why this crash would be an exception to that.
