How Did This Accident Occur?
With authorities saying that a vehicle failed to yield here, this may seem asked and answered. However, failure to yield can happen for all kinds of reasons. It could be something common, like distracted driving or just simple impatience. Or, it could involve something highly unusual. I even recall a crash out of west Texas from a few years ago where someone was blamed for failure to yield, but it turned out that a stop sign was missing. It’s always best to focus on gathering all the facts so that responsibility rests where it’s supposed to. In my experience, that’s the best path forward for victims and families.
