How Did This Accident Occur?
It is not clear from the information in the initial police report which vehicle had the right of way before this crash. I expect authorities to figure that out as they complete their investigation into this accident.
Reviewing evidence from the scene, witness statements, data from both vehicles and any available video footage of the crash should explain how these two vehicles collided, but a deeper look may be needed to determine why. Maybe one had a problem with its throttle or breaks, but it will likely take an outside expert to complete a forensic examination of these vehicles. That must happen before the vehicles are scrapped or repaired, or valuable evidence may be lost.
