Midland County, TX — December 28, 2023, Michelle Melendez was killed following a single-vehicle car accident at around 3:30 a.m. on Interstate 20.
According to initial details about the crash, the accident happened along the I-20 service road at the intersection with South Midkiff Road.
It appears that 28-year-old Michelle Melendez was in a Dodge Avenger traveling westbound on the service road approaching a construction area. Details suggest the roadway curves to go northbound around the construction area, but the Avenger continued straight and went off-road. There, the vehicle hit a pole and overturned.
