Accident Report

Sheridan County, KS — August 21, 2026, Michael Roe was killed in a truck accident at about 10 a.m. on U.S. Route 24 near Hoxie.

Authorities said an eastbound 2014 Kenworth semi-truck was turning left into a parking lot, causing a collision with a westbound 2006 Kawasaki Sport motorcycle.

Motorcyclist Michael Mast Roe, 70, of Hoxie died from injuries suffered in the crash, according to authorities.

The truck driver was not hurt, authorities said.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Sheridan County crash at this time.
