Fannin County, TX — April 13, 2024, Michael Pierce was injured following a motorcycle versus RV accident at approximately 1:30 p.m. along S.H. 121.
According to authorities, 54-year-old Michael Pierce was traveling on a northeast bound Kawasaki motorcycle on S.H. 56 approaching the S.H. 121 intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a southbound RV on S.H. 121 entered the intersection at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way at a stop sign. This resulted in a collision between the front-end of the motorcycle and the back-right side of the RV.
Pierce suffered suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
