Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

With the victim not around to give their side of the story, I can only hope authorities didn’t let any kind of bias get in their way. Unfortunately, a lot of people jump to conclusions when they hear about a motorcycle involved in an accident. This can lead to inaccurate conclusions or incomplete investigations. Families deserve to know they’re getting all the facts, so a biased view can cause problems. If authorities can show they were thorough and let the evidence speak for itself, that’s good. But if that required a more thorough investigation from independent, unbiased professionals, it would be far from the first time.
