Accident Report
Bastrop, TX — February 21, 2026, Mayra Esqueda Picon and four children were injured in an alleged drunk driver accident at about 9:30 p.m. on State Highway Loop 150.
A preliminary accident report indicates that a 2016 GMC Sierra collided with a westbound 2012 Toyota Prius while turning right from American Legion Drive.
Toyota driver Mayra Esqueda Picon, 40, and four passengers, ages 3 to 17, were seriously injured in the crash, according to the report.
The GMC driver, who reportedly had been drinking, was charged with intoxication assault after the crash, the report states.
Authorities have not released additional information about the Bastrop County crash at this time.
