My hope is authorities here are being more thorough than what I’m used to seeing with single-vehicle wrecks. It’s the type of crash I get the most calls about from people concerned they’re not getting the answers they need. Simply put, a lot of departments just see single-vehicle accidents as a low priority, so they can easily miss important details. Defects, road design flaws, medical conditions, drivers illegally over-served by an alcohol provider, faulty safety devices—common or not, these kinds of possibilities warrant consideration, but that can require effort beyond what some departments are willing to put in. Like I said, maybe authorities here are doing their due diligence to get answers, but the current public information is far from convincing me of that.
