Harris County, TX — December 16, 2023, Marquise Charles and a woman were injured following a hit-and-run accident at around 1:15 a.m. on Cypress Creek Parkway.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened on Cypress Creek/F.M. 1960 at Glen Erica Drive.
Initial details about the crash say that 21-year-old Marquise Charles and an 18-year-old woman were in a Hyundai Accent going along Cypress Creek at the time. While crossing Glen Erica, police say that a Chevy Silverado going the same direction in the next lane over allegedly made a left turn into the Hyundai’s path while attempting a u-turn. This caused the two vehicles to collide.
As a result of the collision, both Charles and his passenger had injuries believed to be moderate. The other driver allegedly failed to stop and render aid, but it appears authorities filed charges against the suspect driver. Authorities mentioned the possibility of drunk driving contributing to the crash, but this has yet to be confirmed. Additional details are unavailable right now.
