Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

Unfortunately, work accidents in Texas don’t tend to get the attention they deserve. People tend to write them off, assuming OSHA just takes care of everything. Ultimately, though, Texas has the most complex work fatality laws in the whole country. An OSHA investigation alone isn’t likely to get a family the answers they need, which is why getting the whole story often requires more thorough independent investigations that can prioritize the needs of the family first and foremost. The sooner that happens, the more evidence can be preserved for whatever path lies ahead for a worker’s loved ones.
