It appears that 33-year-old Mario Robles was on a Suzuki motorcycle going westbound. Authorities say that a Ford Mustang failed to control speed, and it crashed with the motorcycle. A Toyota Tacoma was also involved in the crash.
Due to the accident, authorities say that Mario Robles had serious injuries. No other injuries were reported.
How Did This Accident Occur?
Authorities seem to believe this all happened when a car failed to control speed. But if that’s true, then how did that happen? Was the driver on their phone? Were they going too fast? Were they fatigued? Was alcohol a factor? Is this some one-in-a-million crash caused by a vehicle defect?
Answering these questions is what separates good accident investigations from bad ones. It would surprise folks how often victims and families end up months after a crash still asking the same questions they had on day one. That’s why I’ve always found that families who follow up on the investigations early on tend to have better outcomes.
Simply put, if authorities can show that they had experienced, well-equipped professionals handling the crash, then it’s very likely they’ll be able to explain the exact series of events that led up to the crash. But if it seems their efforts barely scratched the surface, and they can’t offer clear answers, it’s possible their department wasn’t treating the crash as a high priority. That’s when families can decide whether or not they’d rather have independent professionals take over and make sure nothing is slipping through the cracks.
