Harris County, TX — December 21, 2023, Maria Trinidad de Rubiano and Hector Rubiano were hurt following a car accident at around 6:00 p.m. on F.M. 529.
Current public information from authorities indicates that the crash happened in the area of the F.M. 529 and North Eldridge intersection.
According to officials, 73-year-old Maria Trinidad de Rubiano and 27-year-old Hector Jesus Rubiano were in a Nissan Pathfinder which was going westbound along F.M. 529. Their vehicle slowed and began to make a left turn toward a Chevron. Harris County officials allege that an approaching Toyota Tundra attempted to pass the Nissan on the left as it was turning, causing the vehicles to collide. The Tundra then allegedly drove away from the scene.
Both Maria and Hector Rubiano were said to have possibly minor injuries resulting from the crash. Authorities indicate they identified the runaway driver and charged them for failure to stop and render aid. No further information is available right now.
