Did authorities look into vehicle defects? Did they pull cellphone records? Examine road conditions? Was there another driver who fled the scene? Were there other extenuating possible factors? Even if something seems unlikely, it warrants attention so that the evidence can speak for itself. If authorities can show they did that, that’s good. If not, there could still be more to this story.
