Atascosa County, TX — February 21, 2024, Marcos Monreal was injured in a motorcycle versus car accident shortly after 3:00 p.m. along Main Street.
According to authorities, five people were traveling in a southeast bound Chevy Malibu at the Main Street, S.H. 132, intersection when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the Malibu failed to yield the right of way to highway traffic, entering the intersection at an unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the driver side of the Malibu and the front of a motorcycle that had been traveling southwest on Main Street.
The occupant of the motorcycle, 57-year-old Marcos Monreal, incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck. All five occupants of the Malibu sustained apparently moderate injuries as well. All the victims were taken to local medical facilities in order to receive necessary treatment.
