Accident Report
Dallas, TX — March 18, 2025, Manuel Coc was injured in a truck accident at about 12:35 p.m. in the 11100 block of Goodnight Lane.
A preliminary accident report indicates that a 1990 Kenworth semi-truck was in the wrong lane as it turned right out of a private driveway near Southwell Road, causing a collision with a northbound 2011 Honda Accord.
Honda driver Manuel Coc, 29, was seriously injured in the crash near a concrete recycling facility, according to the report.
The truck driver was not injured, the report states.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Dallas County crash at this time.
How Did This Accident Occur?
Semi-trucks are known for making wide turns, but that doesn’t explain this accident. Was there any way the truck could have made its turn without impeding oncoming traffic? Could the Honda have avoided this crash?
Investigators should be able to answer these questions and any others posed by the injured driver and his family once they finish reviewing evidence at the scene, data from the vehicles and any available security or dashcam footage of the crash. A forensic examination of the vehicles could be needed if there is any indication that one of them had a mechanical issue that contributed to the crash.
It also could be worth considering whether the design of the intersection had anything to do with the collision.
