San Saba County, TX — December 15, 2023, Mamie Stovall was killed in a truck accident shortly before 9:00 a.m. along U.S. Highway 190.
According to reports, 44-year-old Mamie Stovall was traveling in a northwest bound Chevy Cobalt along U.S. 190 approaching the Throckmorton Street intersections when the accident took place.
The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly rainy and wet. Officials indicate that a southeast bound Ford F-350 which was also traveling on U.S. 190 allegedly lost traction; this caused the truck to veer left of center, crossing over into the northwest bound lane of traffic. This crossover resulted in a collision with the oncoming Chevy Cobalt. The front driver’s side of the truck reportedly made contact with the driver’s side of the Chevy. Both vehicles ended up coming to rest on the northeast side of the roadway.
Stovall reportedly sustained fatal injuries as a result of the accident; she was declared deceased at the scene. The accident is under investigation by local authorities. There is not currently any additional information available pertaining to this incident.
