Makayla Asfaw, 1 Injured in Car Accident in Burnet County, TX

Burnet County, TX — December 1, 2025, Makayla Asfaw and one other were injured following a car accident that happened at 3:43 a.m. along FM 2657.

According to initial details about the accident, it took place south of Copperas Cove in the area of the FM 2657 and County Road 221.

Investigators said that 28-year-old Makayla Asfaw was in a Volkswagen Tiguan going northbound along the roadway. A Ford F-150 was going the opposite direction. It appears the vehicles crossed paths, resulting in a crash.

Due to the accident, both Makayla Asfaw and the other driver had injuries. Additional details about the crash are unavailable.
