Arlington, TX — July 25, 2026, Luis Mendez was killed in a truck accident at about 9:15 p.m. in the 3800 block of Avenue E.
Authorities said a semi-truck was turning left out of a store parking lot near Duncan Perry Road when an eastbound motorcycle crashed into its trailer as it came around a curve.
The motorcyclist, 47-year-old Luis A. Mendez, died in the crash, according to authorities.
The woman who was riding with him was injured, but refused a ride to the hospital, authorities said.
The truck driver, who cooperated with investigators, is not facing any charges at this time.
The Tarrant County crash is still under investigation.
